Hot times at two tracks! The first day was so hot Mr. Wakae passed out from heat exhaustion. But we had some very fast racing, including the first-ever IUF 700c events after dark. The second day was at the 1964 Olympic Stadium, with a marching band and big opening ceremony to start off the day.
I thought 66 was a ridiculous age to start an age group, especially based on the tiny number of entries. That was until I saw these two, Michiko Morikawa and Tokiyo Haseyama. We should all strive to be like them.
